City of Paris enforces by law that every cafe, bistro, brasserie, patisserie, boulangerie and restaurant must display their pricing in front of the entrance, clearly visible before patrons enter the establishment. This is a great idea, because it helps you decide, before you even enter the establishment, whether the pricing is agreeable with what you’re carrying in your wallet.

What we also found extremely charming is that many, if not most of these publicly displayed menus are hand-written, and in the most charming manner. See for yourself:
